Do I need previous mountaineering experience?
-
It's not necessary to have any mountaineering experience as this is an activity for skiers and snowboarders looking to develop proper techniques and a proper understanding of gear usage along with correct terminology.
Do I need to be an expert skier or snowboarder?
-
Not really. If you are an advanced skier/rider and you have good technique skiing or riding off-piste in black diamond terrain with control and confidence this course is for you.
Do I need to bring my ice axe and crampons?
-
It's always nice to practice in your own gear especially if you have semi-automatic or automatic crampons but if you don't have any or would rather not bother they are included in the activity.
Do I need previous camping experience in the mountains?
-
Yes. You should be able to set up a proper summer campsite, stay for two nights minimum, and cook on a camp stove.
