EXPERT
Expert
I have excellent to impeccable technique with extensive backcountry experience. I charge from summit to valley and rejoice in challenging terrain because it makes me feel alive.
All day long, all day strong!
PROFICIENT to STRONG
Proficient:
I choose a moderate pace and keep it moving with short breaks as needed and when hungry. I ride or ski at a faster pace in the open and on moderately steep pitches. I am slightly hesitant in trees or when snow conditions are challenging.
Strong:
I approach challenges in the mountains with consideration but feel confident in my abilities. I maintain a consistent and relaxed rhythm in tough snow conditions.

How many runs will we make? How much vertical can I expect in a day?
-
How many runs and how much vertical we ski or ride each day depends on weather and safety conditions along with the fitness and pace of your group. An average group with good fitness will shred three to four laps and 5000+ vertical feet.
How important is it that I arrive with a high level of fitness?
-
Remember, having good fitness is crucial to maximizing your time in the mountains with us creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime! Many clients who are healthy and moderately active reap great rewards from a slower paced outing that makes one or two beautiful descents.
Will we still go out if it's storming?
-
One of the greatest benefits to Araucania Andina is that we have fantastic tree skiing and snowboarding! Unlike the central zone, we get out during most storms. It's one of the reasons that we chose this majestic zone and gives us more operable days in the mountains each year.
What it's about
Maximize your time enjoying Andean powder in Jurassic landscapes skiing and snowboarding terrain that varies from high alpine volcanic summits and steep feature filled faces to mellow open bowls and natural glade zones of ancient Araucaria and Coighue trees.
